The Dark in the Park total solar eclipse viewing in Flora will take place on Monday, April 8 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Flora Fairgrounds.
Flora is expected to experience 3 minutes and 20 seconds of darkness during the total solar eclipse, and community members are encouraged to visit the park to witness the event firsthand with their fellow community members.
The event will feature food trucks during the event as well as stories and crafts being available in the 4-H building provided by the Flora-Monroe Township Public Library. Around 4 p.m. following the eclipse, the community will be invited to stick around for face painting and a live band.
