Entire Area Under Winter Weather Advisory, Wind Chill Advisory

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of central, east central, north central, south central, southeast and west central Indiana until 1 p.m. Friday afternoon. Also, there is a Wind Chill Advisory for some that areas from 7 p.m. tonight (Friday) to 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

For the Winter Weather Advisory, light snow will end but blowing snow will linger into the afternoon. Additional snow accumulations will generally be no more than a few tenths of inch at most. For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected as low as 20 below zero.

Plan on slippery road conditions continuing this morning. The cold winds chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

Affected areas will be Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clinton, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion and Warren counties.
