CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. — Entrepreneurs with a business idea or existing Carroll County businesses looking to grow, now have an exciting opportunity to compete for a share of $10,000 through the first-ever Excel Carroll Business Growth Challenge.
Presented by BizExcel, a program of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, the competition is designed to encourage entrepreneurship, strengthen local businesses, and support economic growth throughout Carroll County. Whether participants are launching a new venture or expanding an existing business, the competition provides more than funding. Applicants will receive pitch coaching, valuable feedback from experienced business leaders, and an opportunity to showcase their ideas before the community.
“This competition is about investing in the people and ideas that will shape Carroll County’s future,” said Amy Beechy, BizExcel Program Manager. “We know there are talented entrepreneurs throughout this community, and we want to provide them with the resources, encouragement, and visibility they need to succeed.”
The competition is open to entrepreneurs with startup ideas who plan to locate in Carroll County, as well as existing Carroll County businesses planning to expand. Applicants will move through three rounds: an application, a finalist interview, and a live pitch event before a panel of judges.
Applications are due August 10, 2026, with finalists participating in a live pitch competition on November 19, 2026.
The Excel Carroll Business Growth Challenge is made possible through the collaboration of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, Carroll County Economic Development Corporation, Carroll County Community Foundation, Wabash Heartland Innovation Network (WHIN), Fisher & Associates, First Farmers Bank & Trust, and Security Federal Savings Bank.
