The Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced that the deadline is approaching to enter the department’s Community and Urban forestry team’s inaugural photo contest on Nov. 30 for Hoosiers to flex their photography skills as they plant trees across the state.
To enter, participants must email their best tree planting picture taken during the past year to meschoen@dnr.IN.gov. Winners, who will receive tree-themed prizes, will be notified through email, and the winners will be announced on social media and at the Indiana Community and Urban Forestry Symposium on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 in Indianapolis.
The contest will be open to all with a limit of one entry per person. Photos will be judged by creative elements, photographic excellence and overall relation to the tree planting theme.
The complete rules of the contest are at events.IN.gov/event/urban-forestry-photo-contest.
