The Delphi Youth Baseball League has announced that the Saturday “Funday” events will be held today, Saturday, June 22 featuring numerous championship games and competitions for the community and the players to enjoy.
During the festivities, the 12U teams will slam the ball in the home run derby, the 10U teams will take on the long shot competition and the 8U teams will participate in the heavy hitter competition.
The festivities will also see the announcement of the Paul Goyer Award recipient for an outgoing player.
The “Funday” also commemorates the annual opportunity for community members to place their name on the ballot to step into one of the opening board positions with the organization, including President, Vice-President and Peewee Coordinator.
The competitions are slated to begin after the final championship game.
