A Delphi Police Department officer has officially completed training to become a Less Lethal Instructor to aid in the further development of the Delphi Police team.
Officer Jensyn Reef has completed his training and will now be able to certify officers on less lethal shotgun, OC spray, smoke grenades, CS gas, 37/40 mm launchers, flash bangs and breach charges.
The department stated that while it may not currently have all of the equipment necessary for the certifications and may never obtain the necessary equipment, but the department intends to utilize the less lethal shotgun in its possession for the training. The department stated that the shotgun had been in its possession for quite some time, but the department lacked officers who were certified to utilize it.
