Delphi Mayor Kamron Yates has earned his Bronze Certificate from the Aim–Ball State Mayors Institute, a statewide leadership and continuing education program designed to strengthen executive governance in Indiana municipalities.
The Bronze Certificate is awarded to mayors who complete a series of foundational courses covering key aspects of local government, including municipal finance, leadership, community development, budgeting, ethics, and long-term planning. The program is a partnership between Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (Aim) and the Ball State University Indiana Communities Institute, providing mayors with advanced training to better navigate the complexities of local governance.
Mayor Yates said the institute has already had a positive impact on his leadership approach. “Being part of the Mayors Institute has given me additional tools to serve Delphi effectively,” Yates said. “The conversations, courses, and practical lessons all help us make better, more informed choices for our residents. I’m grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continuing the program.”
Aim CEO Matt Greller congratulated Mayor Yates on the accomplishment, noting the commitment it represents. “Mayor Yates is part of a dedicated group of Indiana leaders who are focused on growing their skills and strengthening their communities,” Greller said. “The Bronze Certificate reflects a strong dedication to learning and public service, and we’re proud to have him in this program.”
The Aim–Ball State Mayors Institute offers three certification levels—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—allowing participants to continue advancing their education and leadership development. With the Bronze Certificate completed, Mayor Yates is now eligible to pursue the Silver Certificate.
