Area school news affects nearly all of us in some way.
- We pay taxes from our paychecks to our schools
- We send our children or grandchildren to our schools
- Many of us spent years inside the walls of our local schools
- Most of us enjoy following our favorite local sports teams from our schools
- Some of us do business with our schools as a vendor
- Some of us serve area schools as a volunteer in non-profit organizations like Camp Cullom or Coach Kids
- We know friends, neighbors and students who spend thousands of hours working inside school walls. Schools are one of our largest local employers
- Many of our readers live outside our immediate area and want information about what is happening at our local schools
Weather, public safety, city/county policy, obituaries, local shopping information and news about the very roads we drive might have a chance to rank up there with school news when it comes to relevance and importance in our daily lives.
It is with this reasoning Kaspar Media/Station Manager Cindy Loveless and I chose to add this link to the Frankfort School System Quarterly Newsletter each time it is published. We thank Dr. Matt Rhoda for his key role in making this happen. We extend a similar invitation to our other schools in Clinton, Carroll and Boone County and Sheridan.
