Clinton Prairie defeated Traders Point Christian 3-0 at Rossville on Tuesday, advancing to the second round of Sectional 54.
The Gophers looked strong from start to finish, winning 25-11, 25-10, and 25-11.
“I thought the girls came together well for the opening round of sectionals,” head coach Kathy Martin said. ” Now we’re working towards keeping that and continuing to build as we move forward.”
The Gophers move on to battle Bethesda Christian on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. If they win, they’ll play for a sectional title Saturday evening at 6:00.
