The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the JCAP program within the Clinton County Jail has adopted new curriculum to better aid the members of the program with their potential careers and qualifications following their sentences.
The department announced that the JCAP program has introduced new curriculum including CPR certification and Narcan training to aid the men of the program as they strive toward educational successes.
According to the department, the JCAP participants will not only leave the program with educational backgrounds and education-based certifications focused in the foundational subjects of English, mathematics, social studies and more, but they will also leave with their CPR certification cards and knowledge of how to operate Narcan.
The training was conducted by Investigative Assistant Jenny Whitcomb.
