The Frankfort Street Department will prepare for milling and paving starting tomorrow with Reith Riley. Street Superintendent Jason Forsythe said Tuesday morning that milling will begin on East Ohio Street from Crescent to Kelly Avenue followed by East Clinton Street and Clinton Drive on Wednesday, September 6.
“If the weather is on our side, we should have the paving completed in about seven days,” said Forsythe. I want to urge the community to be patient and to avoid the construction zones as much as possible. “We will be working on trimming trees at the beginning of the week and putting up no parking signs Thursday.” If you have on-street parking, cars will be towed if they aren’t moved when milling and paving work begins.
Mayor Judy Sheets, Board of Public Works, and Forsythe approved the total of $648,805 in the spring of 2023 for these street projects:
• East Clinton Street from Clay Street to Fudge Avenue
• Clinton Drive from Fudge to Maish Road
• South First Street from White Street to West Walnut Street
• East Ohio Street from Crescent to Kelly Avenue
• McClurg Street from Myrtle Avenue to Rossville Avenue
