Charles W. Nipper, 94, a former Frankfort resident, died November 18, 2024 at Century Villa Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Greentown, Ind. He was born October 29, 1930 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Jeffery Davis & Ida (Preston) Nipper. He married Linda Jean Barker on June 28, 1957 in Frankfort and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2011.
Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Corporal during the Korean War. He had lived in Florida, moving to Indiana in 1955 after the service. He farmed for 32 years, worked in maintenance at McDonalds for 8 years, and retired from Western Schools in October of 2010. Charles enjoyed gardening, working on cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his grandsons: Craig Alan (Ann) Loveless of Kokomo, Curtis Erik (Marine) Loveless of Kokomo, great grandchildren: Bethany, Conner (Grace) and Alec Loveless. In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by 7 brothers, 3 sisters and daughter Anita Coolbaugh in 2018.
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
