Girls’ Basketball Regionals are set for tomorrow as the Carroll Cougars will travel to Wes-Del to take on the North Miami Warriors.
Game time is set for 4:00 and the game will be broadcast on WILO. Tune in at 3:45 for pregame coverage with Sam Wort and Kyle Etherington.
Carroll enters after defeating Rossville in the sectional championship 43-38. North Miami defeated Daleville 47-41.
The Warriors are led by a strong duo between junior point guard Laney Musall and sophomore forward Kayden Donaldson. The pair combine for 25 points per game. Donaldson averages a double-double, pulling down 10.4 rebounds a game. Musall leads the team in three-pointers made, sitting at 37 on the year.
Jillian Salts got it done for Carroll in the sectional championship game and will be the main focus of the warrior defense. The junior poured in 16 points, which led all scorers. The Warriors will also have to watch for Emily Justice, the senior sharpshooter has hit 51 triples on the year. Another name to watch is Eliza Rinehart, the sophomore point guard is averaging 6.1 points and 5.6 rebounds. Against Rossville Rinehart secured 10 rebounds and hit the final four free throws to ice the game.
