The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reported a new scam that is circulating through the community where the scammer attempts to convince the recipient that they failed to appear for jury duty.

The Sheriff’s Office stated that a law enforcement officer reported a call he received from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office phone number where the caller identified himself as Deputy Mike Hobbs.
