The Carroll County EMS teams aided the community at Camp Courage, a horse camp for beginners, yesterday by providing immediate medical response training for animals and humans to the attendees.
The Carroll County EMS teams partnered with Camp Courage at Courage Rock to provide the attendees with information and demonstrations of both human and horse first aid as the attendees prepare to continue exploring their passion into the future where first aid assistance may be necessary.
“Did you know that some of our paramedics and EMTs are not only knowledgeable in human care but horse care as well?,” the department released. “We’ve even taken specialized classes to care for our K9 Officers in the event of an emergency.”
Courage Rock is a nearby nonprofit that supports the local community, people with disabilities, veterans and first responders through the introduction of horses within their lives.
“We were honored to be able to support them,” the department released. “Thank you for the fun day, Courage Rock.”
