The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce announced that the Board of Directors have appointed Madison Kauffman as the new Executive Director to support local businesses through events, networking and collaboration throughout Carroll County.
Kauffman is set to replace longtime Executive Director Julia Leahy, who served with the chamber as the Executive Director for 16 years prior to transitioning to become the Community Development Director for the City of Delphi.
Kauffman will bring her vast knowledge of the county, experience with the chamber and an enthusiasm to grow the chamber’s outreach efforts to offer numerous promotional opportunities, tools and resources.
Kauffman stands as a graduate of Ball State university, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Management Organizational Communication. Kauffman has been the Membership and Engagement Manager with the Chamber since August 2022. Prior to her position with the Chamber, she served as the Membership development Specialist with the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance.
“We are excited that Madison is able to step into the role of Executive Director,” Board President Barb Hickner said. “She has gained a wealth of knowledge working alongside Julia for the past two and a half years and is ready to assume a greater role. Her experience in membership and engagement will continue to provide the consistency with our current members allowing us to continue on course to support local businesses and nonprofit organizations.”
Kauffman officially assumed her role today, Feb. 3.
