Carol Ann Neal, 86, of Mulberry, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. She was born September 24, 1937, in Lafayette to Clarence and Dorothy (Buck) Newton. She married Harold Neal on June 26, 1955, in Dayton. He preceded her in death January 23, 2008.
Carol was a 1955 graduate of Dayton High School. She was a farm wife, helping with farm duties and raising the family. She also worked for Federal Land Bank and then Farm Credit Services as a loan processor. She was a member of Trinity Church of Mulberry since 1956 where she served on the church council and women’s guild. She was a past member of Mulberry Mother’s Club, served as a 4-H Leader, Mulberry Community Club, and Friends of the Library. She enjoyed traveling, reading, bowling, playing cards, watching Purdue, Cubs, and Colts games, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Marjorie Stein, Gerry (Annette) Neal, Penny (Bob) Ramsey, and Mark (Aimee) Neal; grandchildren, A.J. (Tonya) Metzger, Jerod (Tracy) Metzger, Jason (Maria) Neal, Julie (Mike) Poffenbarger, Robert (Kailey) Neal, Angela (Josh) Archibald, Eric (Ashley) Ramsey, Josh Neal, Katherine Neal, Sydnie Daughtery, Josh Daughtery, Ciera Yoder; and 24 great grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Carol was preceded her parents and siblings, Wanda McCabe, Cliff Newton, Nancy Brand.
Visitation will be held, Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 4-7pm and Monday, June 17, from 10am until the time of the service at 11am at Trinity Church of Mulberry. Pastor Carolyn DeWitt will officiate. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Cemetery. Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Mulberry Chapel is assisting with the arrangements.
