Bunker Hill Man Arrested For Failing To Register As Sex Offender

A 26-year-old Bunker Hill man was arrested following a cybertip that led to the seizure of multiple electronic devices and charges of failure to register as a sex offender.

On Tuesday, March 18, detectives from the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, in collaboration with troopers from the Indiana State Police Peru Post, Miami County Sheriff’s Office, Kokomo Police Department and U.S. Homeland Security Investigators, reportedly arrested a 26-year-old Bunker Hill man on multiple felony charges of failure to register as a sex offender.

The investigation reportedly originated from multiple cybertip reports receive by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. According to authorities, over the course of a five-month investigation, detectives identified a suspect residing near the 200 block of Broadway Street in Bunker Hill, and upon executing a search warrant, multiple electronic devices were seized.

During the investigation, detectives reportedly determined the suspect had knowingly failed to update his sex offender registration information with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, which is a state law requirement. Detectives arrested Keith Hall, 26, of Bunker Hill and transported him to the Miami County Jail.

Hall faces the following preliminary charges of six counts of failure to register as a sex offender, Level 5 Felony.

The case remains an active and ongoing investigation. ICAC detectives are continuing to examine all seized electronic devices. No further information is available to release at this time.
