Bronar D. “Cookie” Cook, 92, of Frankfort, passed away March 20, 2025 at his home.  He was born January 23, 1933 in Glasgow, KY to Reid & Lola (Bray) Cook.  He married Esther Ruth Fields on August 26, 1967 and she preceded him in death on October 13, 1991.

Cookie was a graduate of Kirklin High School.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 8 years.  He had worked at Chrysler for 30 years, retiring in December of 1986.  He then volunteered for Paul Phillippe Resource Center, delivering meals.  He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Eagles Lodge.  Cookie enjoyed sports, loved Purdue and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

Cookie is survived by nieces, Diane (Combs) Franks, Donna (Combs) Shoup (Husband Michael), Debbie Combs, Delores (Combs) Perkins, daughter, Christina (Greg) Goshern of Lebanon, TN, 6 grandchildren, Angelita (Isaac) Burgei, Michael Race Gonzales, Cody (Molly) Budd, Santanna Hawkins, Jeremy (April) Goshern and Gregory Nicholas (Becca Long) Goshern, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, daughter-in law, Paula Budd, cousin, Marvin in Kentucky and long time companion for over 30 years, Edna Pedigo of Frankfort and her son, Don Howell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Lawrence Cook, nephew Mike Cook, niece, Darlene Combs, son, Mark Allen Budd, daughter, Ruth Ann Gonzales, son in law, Robert J. Gonzales and grandson, Nathan Thomas Gonzales.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.  Memorial donations may be made to Clinton County Cancer Fund, 705 Stoneridge Dr., Frankfort, IN  46041 or Autism Speaks P.O.
