Boyd H. Allen Garrison, 84, of Frankfort, passed away February 24, 2026 in his home. He was born on July 29, 1941 in Lebanon to William O’Conal Bradley Garrison and Mary Maude (Wells) Garrison. He married Dorothy E. Gann on December 31, 1960 and she preceded him in death on January 24, 2006.
Boyd was a 1960 graduate of Jackson High School and served in the United States Air Force from September 1960 to September 1966, serving in Vietnam. He worked as a journeyman electrician and machine repairman for Allison Gas Turbine in Indianapolis for 27 years, retiring in 1997. In retirement, he worked for Stalcop in Thorntown for 5 years. He was a former President of the Frankfort Eagles and a member of EAA. He enjoyed fishing, riding his 3-wheeler and Harley Sportster and working on old cars, trucks, and tractors, rebuilding his own tractor as recently as last year. He also enjoyed “plinking” at his targets and restoring old guns. Boyd was a skilled craftsman and loved building model boats and airplanes, earning Best in Show at the Clinton County Fair for his model wooden ship.
Surviving are his children: William (Carol) Garrison of Frankfort, Victoria Garrison (Brian Martin) of Frankfort and Greg (Becky) Garrison of Michigantown, grandchildren: Beau (Teresa) Garrison of Frankfort, Zachary (Kayla) Garrison of Lafayette, Seve (Ashley) South of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Caitlin (Chad) Timmons of Grand Island, Florida, Danielle (Lee) Glenn of Plainfield, and Trish Garrison (Tyler) of Indianapolis, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sister-in-law: Evelyn Garrison of Whitestown, and bonus daughters: Lyndia Quigg of Crawfordsville, Tammy Peterson of Monticello, and Sandy, Betty, and Angel all of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son: Larry Garrison, brother: William Bradley “Brad” Garrison Jr., and sister: Irma Garrison.
Friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton Street, Frankfort. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Green Lawn Mausoleum, Frankfort.
