Biggby Coffee will officially open its doors to the community of Frankfort next week with special running from Tuesday through Friday in celebration of its grand opening, and during Thursday, community members are invited to support a local non-profit through Biggby as well.
Biggby Coffee will open Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and they will remain open for the same timeframe through Friday with specials every day. The new coffee shop is located at 2474 E. Wabash St. in Frankfort and is operated by Chris and Liza Salzarulo, who are a husband-and-wife duo that was inspired to bring the franchise to Frankfort after visiting a location in Traverse City, Michigan. Following two decades in education and the vacation industry, the duo saw an opportunity to expand their horizons by owning a coffee shop in Frankfort.
The new store will offer a drive-thru to serve customers on the go, and the duo has already hired 25 local employees who are gearing up to begin serving the community during the grand opening with a special date of serving set for tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Salzarulos announced that from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 8, community members may visit the drive-thru for a free beverage as the new staff practices to perfect their skills prior to the grand opening week. A limited menu will be available during the free drink date, including some lattes, hot chocolates, energy drinks, magic milk and creme freezes.
The business officially opens on Tuesday, Feb. 11 with $2.99 hot or iced 20-ounce drinks with upgrades available. The specials continue on Wednesday, Feb. 12 with a free BIGGBY cup with the purchase of any 20-ounce or 24-ounce specialty beverage while limited supplies last.
On Thursday, Feb. 13, the Salzarulos have dedicated the special to supporting a community organization with $1 from every cup sold being donated to COACH Kids of Clinton County. The Salzarulos stated that during their time in education, they became invested in the idea of youth mentoring and dedicated their time to helping local youth prosper, which led them to select COACH Kids as their first non-profit to support through the specialty days.
On Friday, Feb. 14, the grand opening week specials will conclude with 50% off bagels for Bagel Day.
