Bessie Stewart, 93, of Frankfort, passed away October 22, 2026 in her home. She was born on March 3, 1933 in Lebanon, the daughter of George and Sophie Marie (Naperson) Hood. In 1956, she married William W. Stewart & he preceded her in death.
Bessie attended school in Frankfort and moved to Missouri, living there for 48 years before returning to Frankfort in 2002. She loved children and enjoyed her time as a school bus driver in Kansas City, Missouri. Bessie was a very caring person who was close to all of her family. She enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, puzzles, & visiting with friends & family.
Surviving are her Daughter: Linda Gregory of Frankfort, Grandchildren: Tabatha Weiss of Frankfort & Stephen Perez of Florida, Siblings: Doris Shelley of Frankfort & Herbert Hood of Georgia, along with Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, 2 Sisters, and 3 Brothers.
A funeral will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
