Margie L. Lawson, 83, of Frankfort, passed away June 12, 2026 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community. She was born on March 1, 1943 in Frankfort to Raymond and Ruby (Ferguson) Taylor. She married Larry Lawson on January 20, 1963, and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2003.
A lifelong Frankfort resident, Margie was a 1961 graduate of Frankfort High School. She cleaned private homes and was part of the custodial staff for IU Health Frankfort for 12 years. Margie was a member of Kilmore United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, lunches with friends, mowing her yard, and church activities, including choir, Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, being a member of the women’s group and serving as church custodian. She also enjoyed bowling for Lawson Masonry.
Surviving are her children: Michele (David) Skirvin of Louisville, KY and Craig (Amy) Lawson of Rossville, Grandchildren: Nathan (Amber), Katelin, and Chelsea Skirvin all of Louisville, Brett Lawson of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Justin (Heather) Lawson of Miami, FL, along with her sister: Lora Thomas of Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother: Bruce Taylor.

]]>James E. “Buzz” Mooneyhan, 86, of Pickard, passed away June 10, 2026 at Mulberry Health. He was born on August 22, 1939 in St. Charles, Virginia to Roy Edward “Sleepy” and Lillie (Thomas) Mooneyhan. He married Shirley A. Snodgrass on April 14, 1963 in Pickard and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2026.
Buzz attended school in St. Charles, Virginia and served in the United States Air Force. He worked for Emerson Appliance Controls in Frankfort for 44 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved Elvis and enjoyed singing and fishing.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

]]>Martha Lou Boone, 72, of Frankfort, passed away June 9, 2026 in her home. She was born on January 15, 1954 in Frankfort to Raymond Rohrabaugh Jr. and Merian (Lemen) Rohrabaugh. She married Michael Boone on April 3, 1976 in Kirklin and he survives.
A life-long Clinton County resident, Martha was a 1972 graduate of Clinton Central High School. She worked for 16 years as a medical receptionist at American Health Network in Lebanon. Spending time with family was her greatest joy, and she loved babysitting for her grandchildren and going to their activities.
Surviving along with her husband, Mike, are her sons: Chad (Lisa) Boone of Frankfort, Kevin (April) Boone of Frankfort, Travis (Tiffany) Boone of Lafayette, and Bret Boone of Lafayette, 8 grandchildren: Kaleb, Conner, Mason, Brady, Molly, Adalynn, Hudson, and Chloe, along with her sisters: Cathy Rohrabaugh-Wells of Whitestown, Linda Ward of Palmetto, FL, and Sarah (Charlie) Byrne of Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

]]>Stanley R. Duckworth, 88, of Frankfort, passed away May 29, 2026 in his home. He was born on March 23, 1938 in Kempton, Indiana to Ralph & Shula (Frazier) Duckworth. He married Carol King on June 23, 1962 in Michigantown and she preceded him in death on June 25, 2025.
Stanley attended school at Moran and was a lifelong Clinton County resident. He worked as a production Foreman for Carr Cabinet Company for 20 years and was a truck driver for Pelling & Pelling. Stanley was a lifetime member of the Eagles Lodge. He loved being with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially rabbit hunting and fishing, and also enjoyed auctions.

]]>Robert Zook, 69, of Flora, IN, passed away May 20, 2026, peacefully at his home. He was born December 10, 1956 in Frankfort, Indiana to James Garfield & Vivian Rose (Chadwick) Zook. He was married to Jennifer Catherine Post on February 19, 2004 in Cocoa Beach, FL and she preceded him in death on March 8, 2022.

Robert attended Clinton Central Jr./Sr. High School. He worked as a carpenter and he and his wife established Rose Construction in 2008. Robert was a part of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) in Carroll County and shared his knowledge with the next generation team. He gave to various Native American Charities, and was a member of the Wounded Warrior Project through donations. Robert was witty, quick with a joke, enjoyed a good game of Euchre, playing guitar, tinkering, loved to paint and had a love for the Native American Culture. His greatest enjoyment was operating heavy equipment, turning the ground, working in the fields and building with his hands.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert James (BJ) Dean of Flora, Lauren Rene Celeste of Frankfort, children he loved as his own, Sheila Marie Post of Kokomo, Jason Timothy (Theresa) Tate of Kentucky, Darci Aria Barr of Noblesville, siblings, LeRoy (Carolyn) Zook of Frankfort, Don Henderson of California, Stephen Zook of Frankfort, Candace (Fred) Cheek of Frankfort, grandchildren, Patciance, Germany, Serenity, Journey, Sophia, Kaleb, Je’Ray, Alieca, Kierstin, Amya, Alexeya, Aleeah, Christian, Jason Jr., Megan, Brendon, great-grandchildren, Adrian, Isaiah, Mateo, LeVaya, RayLynn, Alyla, Jalaya, Jaziya, Jazir, Carter, Haisley, Luka, Lilia and his two beloved wolf pups, Teddy and Cocoa.

Pauline attended the Frankfort Pilgrim College. She had worked at Deluxe Cleaners for 26 years. Pauline enjoyed being in the woods, spending time with her family and loved to go to Arnie’s every Wednesday.

]]>Robert Earl Bailey, Jr., 75, of Frankfort, passed away May 14, 2026 in his home. He was born on September 15, 1950 in Cadiz, Indiana to Robert E. Sr. and Emma (Hedrick) Bailey. He married Charissa (Holland) Bailey on November 23, 2020 and she survives.
Robert was a 1969 graduate of Shenandoah High School and attended Indiana University Kokomo. He served in the United States Airforce from 1969 to 1979, serving in Vietnam. Robert retired as an electrician, working for both General Motors and Wabash Alloys. His hobbies included fishing, reading his Kindle, and woodworking.

Smitty was a 1958 graduate of Jackson Township High School and worked for Kroger, Mallory, Delco in Kokomo, Payless Supermarket, Main Meat Market, and retired from Frito Lay after 21 years. He is a member of Faith Family Church in Frankfort. Smitty loved word searches.

]]>Janet Lee Douglass, 94, of Mulberry, passed away May 7, 2026 at Mulberry Health. She was born May 23, 1931 in Clinton County to Doyal & Mary (Wampler) Ostler. She married Norman Douglass on October 11, 1950 and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1997.

Janet attended Frankfort High School. She worked at Peter Paul from 1959-1969. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

]]>Carl Wayne Vandevender, 85, of rural Frankfort, passed away May 6, 2026 at Mulberry Health. He was born on February 25, 1941 in Frankfort, IN to WK Vandevender and Eileen (Shore) Vandevender. Eileen died when Carl was young and WK married Cleo Myers, who adopted and raised Carl. Carl was previously married to Carolyn Hendrickson Abbott and they later divorced.

Carl was a 1959 graduate and the last class to graduate from Kirklin High School. He was active in 4-H, and FFA at a young age and was active in Young Farmers in Kirklin. Carl was born into farming and remained a farmer in Clinton County until he retired. He could always be found in the shed working on something, which lead to his love for restoring and showing antique farm equipment.
He was a member of the Chapter #7 Indiana International Harvester Collectors Club. He was also a longtime member of the I & I Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club Chapter 10. The club was able to purchase the Penfield grounds where Historic Farm Days is held. Prior to that, Historic Farm Days was held at Middlefork Forest Preserve. The club bought the school adjacent to the show grounds and kept adding land for the show to the point that it now owns more than 100 acres. Carl was active in the annual Historic Farms Days in Penfield, holding several offices. They created a trail extending back into the woods for golf carts and tractors to travel.
He was among the founding members of the Half Century of Progress Show. This show in Rantoul, IL, is the premier working vintage farm show in the United States. It is held the weekend before the Decatur Farm Progress Show. The Half Century of Progress allows visitors to experience what farming and agriculture was like 50 years ago and beyond with live demonstrations, attractions and fellowship. The family went to the 1206 Round Up in 2025.
Carl is survived by his Companion, Jackie Williman of Mulberry, IN, Daughters, Carla Kaelin of Waveland, IN, Beth Walker of Fort Myers, FL, Son, Todd Vandevender of Ashland, KY, grandchildren, William Kaelin, Nathan (Hayley) Kaelin, LeAnn (Josh) Predolich, Clayton Walker and Michael Burke, great-grandchildren, Liberty Owens, Kellan Kaelin, Jackson Kaelin and Autumn Kaelin, cousins, Jerry Shore and Joyce Jordan and extended family.
