Arley M. Perkins Jr.

Arley M. Perkins Jr., 94, of Dayton, Ind. died October 4, 2023 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  He was born on October 5, 1928 in Ironton, Ohio to Arley M. Perkins and Ada Beatrice (Legg) Perkins Peters.  He married Noma E. Poland on August 31, 1957 in Lebanon and she preceded him in death on September 1, 2018.

Arley attended School in Frankfort and served in the United States Air Force from 1946 to 1949 where he was stationed in Panama.  He worked in refrigeration, heating and air and had worked for Delco Electronics / General Motors in Kokomo, retiring in 1992.  He was a member of Woodside Christian Church, the Clinton Masonic Lodge #54, and the Frankfort Moose Lodge #7.  He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, ping pong and ham radios.

Surviving are his Sons: Dennis Kent (Becky) Perkins of Frankfort, Richard Arley (Teresa) Perkins of Frankfort, Ronnie L. Dubree of Lafayette, Graydon K. (Paula) Perkins of Lafayette, and Robert A. (Kathy) Perkins of Lafayette; 14 Grandchildren; 29 Great-Grandchildren; and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers: Donald Keith Perkins and Thomas Henry Perkins, and his sister: Helen Marie Howe.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Clinton County Mausoleum in Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort.  Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
