Annual Kirk’s Crossing Parade And Events Held Over The Weekend In Kirklin

Kirk’s Crossing was a fun weekend for the community with many activities. Although the heat wasn’t kind everyone got through it with help some of the sponsors having plenty of water on hand.

Thursday started out as always with the annual KVFD Dan’s Fish Fry at the Kirklin fire station.

Friday was loaded with events at the park starting with the kiddie king and queen crowned. The children crowned king and queen were 4 year old Riverlynn Hoffman and 4 year old Kyson Walker Dembickie, Followed by Pickleball, Kids and adults free door prizes, Horse Pull at the park track, Beer Garden at the shelter house, and Christine Kindred on stage, and a 50/50 drawing.

Saturday was a full loaded day with garage sales, vendors, yard games, kid events, the famous Kirk’s Crossing Parade, (GRAND MARSHALL FOR THE 2024 PARADE WAS JERRY FAUCETT), car show, Chicken & Noodle dinner prepared by the Ladies auxiliary Of the Kirklin American Legion and was delicious as always. Freddy Fever of Indiana Fever was on hand and a had a lot of fun with the kids.

There was the annual talent show, pie eating contest, kids dance party, Adult pizza eating contest, Garden tractor pull, Bubble foam party for kids( although I seen some adults out there playing enjoying the bubbles), And Outlaw Nation on Stage which kept the community dancing and having a great time.

Kirk’s Crossinig board would like to thank their many sponsors that made this event possible and many volunteers including the Police, Sheriff, and Fire Departments also.

Community Church Service was held Sunday morning on stage.
