On March 21, the Lebanon Police Department responded to a report of alleged animal abuse.
During the investigation, the complainant stated they observed and recorded video of a K9 handler with the Frankfort Police Department interacting with his K9. The complainant alleged the interaction was cruel and unnecessary.
Due to a potential conflict of interest, the Lebanon Police Department has referred the case and all initial findings to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department for further investigation.
