Alan Dunn Elected President of Clinton County Council

Alan Dunn has been elected president of the Clinton County Councilors, continuing his leadership role within the county’s fiscal governing body. Jeff Chynoweth was also elected and will serve as vice president.

Dunn was first elected to the Clinton County Council in 2006 and has served as council president since 2017. He represents District 4, which includes the towns of Colfax, Forest, Kirklin, and Michigantown, along with the townships of Forest, Perry, Jackson, Johnson, Kirklin, Michigan, Sugar Creek, and Union.

County officials note Dunn’s long tenure and experience as assets to the council as it addresses budgeting and policy matters impacting residents across the county.

The Clinton County Council is responsible for overseeing county finances, setting budgets, and approving appropriations that support county operations and services.
