Jerry L. Suite

Jerry L. Suite, 76, of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at IU Health Hospital in Frankfort. He was born on March 28, 1950, in Frankfort to George Thomas and Margaret Lucille (Record) Suite. He married Julianna Warnecke on May 7, 1977, and she survives.

He was a proud graduate of Frankfort Community Schools, Class of 1968. He began his career at General Battery, where he dedicated 17 years of hard work before continuing another decade when the company became Exide. A loyal member of the Moose Lodge for 36 years, he embodied friendship, laughter, and generosity in everything he did.

A skilled mechanic his entire life, he poured that same passion into the world of drag racing-his true love outside of family. Over the years, he also drove for various trucking companies, with Brocks and Custom being his last two.

Family was his center and his greatest joy. He was deeply devoted to his sons, Jared and Jesse, and when the grandchildren arrived, his life felt complete. He treasured weekends spent fishing and camping with his boys and cherished the simple joy of watching his grandchildren play in front of the garage. That front of the garage, surrounded by family and friends, was his happy place, especially with a cold Miller Lite in hand, shared with his youngest son.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Julie; his sons Jared (Mindee) Suite and Jesse (Jennifer) Suite; and his cherished grandchildren Kayden, Konnor, Clare, Georgia, and Sarah Suite. He is also survived by his sister Mona Suite; brothers Tom (Barbra) Suite and Gilbert Suite; and his lifelong friend, Jackie (Marilyn) Shirar. Many others he mentored over the years proudly called him “Dad” —a title he wore with love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter-in-law Olivia Suite, his niece Rebekah Suite, and his sister-in-law Evelyn (Gilbert) Suite.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Ashley and the entire team at Frankfort IU Hospital for their care, compassion, and dedication during this difficult time. Their kindness will never be forgotten.

The family wants the world to know that CANCERS SUCKS!

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm, at Day and Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
