Rossville Elementary School has earned a place among the Top 250 elementary schools in Indiana, ranking #236 in the state in the latest U.S. News & World Report evaluation of public schools.
This recognition highlights Rossville’s commitment to academic achievement and its vision that students will Achieve, Lead, Learn, and Inspire. The school’s performance placed it well ahead of other county districts.
“Our ranking reflects the outstanding work of our students, staff, and families,” said Dr. Jim Hanna, Superintendent of Rossville Consolidated School District. “We are proud of this accomplishment, but even more important is our commitment to ensuring that every student reaches their full potential. At Rossville, we are ALL-IN.”
Rossville Elementary’s success stems from strong instruction, small class sizes, and programs tailored to student needs, including Gifted & Talented opportunities. Principal Chad Dennison credited the recognition to a team effort across the school community. “This ranking confirms what we already know—that Rossville is a special place where students are supported, challenged, and inspired every day,” Dennison said.
The U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on multiple factors, including student proficiency in reading and math, as well as performance compared to other schools statewide. Nearly 1,600 elementary schools across Indiana were reviewed.
Rossville Elementary continues to build on its tradition of excellence by focusing not only on test scores, but on developing lifelong learners and leaders prepared to make a difference.
