Steven Phillip Smith, 75, of Delphi, Ind., passed away February 18, 2025 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital. He was born on March 12, 1949 in Crawfordsville to Charles Lee and Wilma Jean (Walters) Smith. He married the love of his life, Stella Mae Hollis and she preceded him in death.
Raised in Boone County, Steven attended Thorntown High School and served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1979. He worked in Factory Maintenance in Dalton, Georgia for many years. Steven loved fishing, camping, and movies.
Surviving are his Children: Jeremy Wheeler of Santa Cruz, CA and Terri R. Moretz of Dinwiddie, VA, Siblings: Linda (Lyle) Fisel of Elkhart, IN, John (Sharon) Smith of Mulberry, IN, Nancy (Bruce) Carter of Elkhart, IN, Mark Smith of Darlington, IN, and Deborah (Greg) Buffenbarger of Camden, IN, along with 4 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother: Michael Smith and sister: Gloria Wyrick.
Friends may visit 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort, IN.
