IU Health Arnett, Frankfort and White Memorial brought the giving spirit early this year with a donation of blankets to Heartford House Child Advocacy Center, which serves surrounding counties with branches such as Quinton’s House.
During the fall months, the IU Health team launches a special project to create hundreds of hand-tied fleece blankets that are distributed to community organizations, such as Heartford House to be given to anyone in need of the comfort of a warm blanket.
“Throughout the year, our team members volunteer thousands of hours to serve our communities,” IU Health released. “Comfort and care come in many forms; it’s our privilege to provide that care both in our facilities and through projects like this that serve our friends and neighbors.”
The Heartford House team stated that the blankets will be utilized to bring warmth and comfort to child victims who are navigating tough times in their young lives.
“A simple blanket can mean so much–offering a sense of security, a moment of peace and the feeling of being cared for,” the team released. “Thank you, IU Health, for your kindness and generosity in helping us provide comfort and support to the children in our community. Your compassion truly makes a difference in their healing journey.”
