Town of Rossville Addresses Stray Cat & Increased Raccoon Presence Complaints

The Town of Rossville released a statement for the police department addressing complaints from homeowners regarding stray cats in the area.

The town stated that several reports have been received by homeowners regarding stray cats soiling their landscaping daily following residents feeding the cats, which has also led to the presence of other animals eating the food left out for the cats, leading to an increase in raccoons in the town, officials stated.

“We are asking that you please do not (feed stray cats and other critters),” the town released. “There are neighbors that do not want these stray animals hanging around their property.”
