The Zionsville Parks and Recreation team will host a free educational workshop on Sept. 9 for community members to experience the fascinating opportunities to incorporate birds within environmental education.
The Flying WILD Workshop acts as a free educational workshop focused on learning more about the birds in environment education, and the workshop is set to kick off on Monday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Zionsville Nature Center at 250 N. 5th St. in Zionsville. The workshop has been specifically geared toward those who are above the age of 18 and are teachers, informal educators and homeschool families.
During the workshop, participants will look at adaptations for early childhood, explore activities that complement the Flying WILD curriculum and examine citizen science programs that can be adapted for classrooms or nature programs. All participants will receive a Flying WILD curriculum book as well.
Registration is required for the workshop, and the form may be found at zionsvillein.myrec.com.
