The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that a temporary bridge closure will occur on
State Road 26 in Tippecanoe County starting next week.
A temporary closure of State Road 26 in Tippecanoe County over Goose Creek will occur beginning on or after Tuesday, May 28. During the closure, crews will be conducting a full closure of the bridge to replace a small structure. Work is expected to last until the late fall with weather permitting, and the closure dates are subject to change depending on unforeseen circumstances.
The official detour around the closure is U.S. 52 or U.S. 231 to State Road 352 to State Road 55.
The Indiana Department of Transportation ecnourages drivers to abide by the official detour or seek an alternate route around the closure.
