Frankfort Man Sentenced To 2 Years At Indiana Department Of Correction, 2 Years Of Community Corrections For Child Exploitation

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office released information regarding the sentencing of a man charged with two felonies related to child exploitation.

On April 24, Joseph Addy was sentenced for child exploitation, Level 4 Felony, and possession of child pornography, Level 5 Felony, to two years in the Indiana Department of Correction, two years of community corrections and two years of probation for the verdict that he was involved in the distribution of child exploitation material, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The case first came to light on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, when the Sheriff’s Office followed up on a cyber tip from the Nation Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led to an investigation, authorities say. Deputies and investigation reported that evidence was seized in the investigation that led to the arrest of Addy, 24, of Frankfort, and he was initially charged with distribution of child exploitation material of a child under 12-years-old, Level 4 Felony, and seven counts of possession of child exploitation material of a child under 12-years-old, Level 5 Felony.

According to the court filings, Addy was sentences to a term of 2,190 days for the level 4 felony with two days of jail credit and 730 days suspended with 730 days of probation.

For the level 5 felonies, court filings show that Addy was sentenced to a term of 730 days with all counts being concurrent and the final 730 days allowed to be served on Community Corrections after approval by Clinton County Community Corrections.
