Bauer Family Resources Hosting Supply Drive

Bauer Family Resources is hosting a supply drive, Pack a Class, through March 8, 2024. The supply drive aims to pack a classroom in each of the communities Bauer serves with supplies most frequently used in programming.

Bauer provides infant, toddler, preschool, and school age center-based services at no cost to families. In addition to these childcare style programs, Bauer provides case management and navigation services through their family resource center, Grace’s House, and Community Partners for Child Safety program. Supplies collected during Pack a Class will help the organization achieve their in-kind giving requirement which is $2 million annually and increase program quality.

“As federally funded Head Start agency, we receive 80% of the funding we need from the federal government, it is our responsibility to engage with the local community to raise the other 20% to operate our Head Start early learning program. Outside of Head Start programming supply donations are needed because our other programs often make their impact with very little funding. Supply donations allow us to focus operational dollars on other program needs.” said Tristen Comegys, Bauer CEO.

Bauer is a non-profit organization, founded in Tippecanoe County in 1929 and has since expanded services to Clinton, Carroll, White, Warren, Fountain, Hendricks, Owen, and Morgan counties serving more than 7,000 children and their families each year.

Desired supply donations include items like diapers, wipes, crayons, dish soap, feminine hygiene products, construction paper, etc. Learn more about the organization and how to participate in the supply drive at www.bauerfamilyresources.org.
