No injuries were reported for a fire Friday night at 2021 West County Road 0 N/S.
The fire started in a machine. There was heavy black smoke with fire showing on the roof as well. All occupants were out of the building when we got there. It took the one duty crew about 30 minutes to get it under control.
Frankfort firefighters did a great job stopping the fire and the sprinkler system that was installed kept the fire from spreading. We did have all utilities disconnected for the safety of everyone.
Currently the fire is still under investigation. Thank you to Frankfort Police Department for managing traffic control and for City Light and Power for their quick response in arriving and disconnecting the power.
