Clinton County Area Plan Commission has posted notice of a public hearing related to the Hardy Hills Solar Energy Project around Kilmore, Indiana.
Hardy Hills Solar Energy L.L.C. has petitioned for revision to a previously approved development plan. According to the Clinton County Area Plan office, this is a request concerning fencing and other changes relating to vegetation and buffer zones requested by land owners.
The original approved plan called for the deer fence around all the solar panels (located in turquoise shaded area in map below) to be made with wood posts. The revision seeks to do that (keep wooden posts) except let the corner posts already installed remain metal as now constructed to reduce the “likelihood of deer fence failure.”
Additional requested revisions to be proposed at this meeting involve minor set back and vegetation changes requested by adjacent land owners. These changes have for the most part, already been agreed to by adjacent land owners but possible impact on non-adjacent neighbors may be an issue.
The hearing is scheduled for 6PM Tuesday September 3rd in the Clinton County Courthouse.
