Indiana’s workplaces are raising the bar. The 2026 Best Places to Work in Indiana list features 150 standout employers from across the state in more than 20 industries that are setting the pace for workplace excellence. Now in its 21st year, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce program will culminate with company rankings revealed across five size categories at a May 13 awards dinner at the Indiana Convention Center, presented by KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller).
“An enjoyable workplace remains one of the strongest magnets for top talent,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders.
“Organizations that cultivate a healthy culture tend to perform better overall, boosting productivity and long‑term success. We applaud this year’s honorees for their dedication to implementing standout workplace practices that help them attract and keep exceptional employees.”
The top companies in the state were determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. The Workforce Research Group handled the selection process.
Winning organizations represent nearly 30 cities and towns, with multiple honorees coming from Bloomington, Carmel, Evansville, Fishers, Fort Wayne, Goshen, Indianapolis, Marion, Noblesville, South Bend and Washington. In addition, several businesses have multiple Indiana locations.
The winners were selected from these five categories: small companies of between 15 and 34 U.S. employees; small-medium companies of between 35 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999 U.S. employees; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees are in Indiana.
The 2026 Best Places to Work in Indiana companies range in Hoosier employee count from 16 to 2,400.
In addition to the May 13 awards, winners will be recognized via a special section of the Indiana Chamber’s Biz Voice® magazine and through Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick – both of which reach statewide audiences. Additional program partners are HR Indiana SHRM, Institute for Workforce Excellence, Wellness Council of Indiana and Workforce Research Group.
All companies that participated in the 2026 Best Places to Work program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees. In turn, this report can be used in developing or enhancing employee retention and recruitment programs.
The 21st Annual Best Places to Work in Indiana Awards Dinner will be open to the public. Individual tickets and tables of 10 are available atwww.indianachamber.com/conferences.
