UPDATE: I-70 reopens in Wayne County

INDOT

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that I-70 westbound has reopened after flood waters washed out a section of the road in Wayne County on Wednesday evening.

Thanks to the hard work of INDOT crews and Revive I-70 contractors The Walsh Group, Rieth Riley Construction, and Milestone Contractors, a full and permanent repair was made to the damaged roadway in less than 32 hours.

The westbound lanes of I-70 near mile marker 146 are now open. Please continue to monitor 511in.org for updates on other roadways impacted by this week’s flooding.
