John Bartley, age 67, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

John was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Family was one of the most important parts of his life, and some of his happiest moments were simply spent together with the people he loved.

John enjoyed the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. He loved to hunt, fish, and ride his bike, always finding a way to enjoy the fresh air and make memories along the way. He had a special appreciation for being outdoors and spending time with family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Those who knew John will remember him for the memories he made, the time he shared with the people he loved, and the lasting impact he had on his family. Though his family will miss his presence deeply, they will carry his memory and the love he gave them in their hearts forever.

John is survived by his children: Jenny (Zach) Bartley of Frankfort, Penny Bartley of Lafayette, and Holly (Dustin) Bartley of Frankfort; grandchildren: Ty Bartley of Lafayette, Isabel Bartley of Lafayette, Griffin Miller of Frankfort, John Bartley of Indianapolis, and Tyler Bartley of Indianapolis; siblings: Michele (Bill) Simms of Lafayette, Tony (Beth) Bartley of Mulberry, Jim (Brenda) Bartley of Frankfort; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Bartley and Priscilla Stacy and his wife Kimberly (Conklin) Bartley.

John may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts. His memory will live on in the stories we tell, the places we go, and the love he gave us that will remain forever.
