The Rossville Hornets downed the Clinton Central Bulldogs 13-3 in the Hoosierland TV Baseball Game of the Week last night.
The Hornets took control early, scoring six runs in the first inning, and never looked back, winning in five innings.
Nolan Britt got the start, his first of the season. He threw three innings of one-run ball and struck out two. Britt also collected two hits and scored twice, earning himself The Farmers Bank Player of the Game.
In the fourth inning, Rossville blew the game open, scoring six runs to take a commanding 13-2 lead.
A.J. Kelly’s two-run double highlighted the inning. Drew Wainscott and Ashton Abbott collected RBIs in the inning as well.
Clinton Central’s attack was led by Creed Mennen and Luke Shelly, each had a hit, scored a run and had an RBI.
Rossville improved to 6-3 with the win, while the Bulldogs dropped to 2-5.
