Organizers are continuing to monitor weather conditions ahead of tonight’s Independence Day fireworks celebration at TPA Park in Frankfort.
At this time, the fireworks are still scheduled for tonight, although there is the possibility of a rain delay if showers move through the area. Officials say the display will not be postponed to the Sunday rain date unless emergency services determine that lightning or other hazardous weather makes it unsafe to proceed.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to be patient and watch for the latest updates throughout the evening.
