Following multiple instances of drivers driving the wrong way on State Road 25 in Carroll County, officers have issued a release regarding the severity of the situations.
The Delphi Police Department released that on Dec. 22, Carroll County E911 received multiple calls regarding a wrong-way vehicle that was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of State Road 25 in the dark hours.
An officer responded and was able to stop the vehicle near State Road 218, but the department released that the incident was not the first of the weekend. The department stated that during the weekend, there were four wrong-way drivers on State Road 25, causing issues with those driving in the other lane.
Drivers have been instructed to contact 911 immediately if a wrong-way driver is spotted to ensure that potentially hazardous crashes are not sustained.
“Thank you to the citizens that called 911 and provided accurate information that resulted in this vehicle being stopped before anyone was hurt,” the department released.
