Mayor Kamron Yates Announces Re-Election Campaign

Today, I am honored to announce that I am seeking re-election as your Mayor.

Serving the City of Delphi has been the greatest privilege of my life. Every day since taking office, I have approached this position with one goal in mind: doing what is best for our community. It has never been about politics—it has always been about people.

Over the past several years, we have worked together to build a stronger foundation for Delphi. Through responsible financial management and a commitment to being good stewards of your tax dollars, we have successfully secured grant funding that has allowed us to complete major transportation and infrastructure improvements while reducing the burden on local taxpayers.

We have invested in the places where our families gather by improving our parks with upgraded pickleball, basketball, and tennis courts, enhanced lighting, and recreational amenities that will serve our community for generations to come. We have continued making critical investments in our infrastructure, including improvements to our streets, water and utility systems, city facilities, and other essential services that position Delphi for continued growth and long-term success.

Public safety has remained one of my highest priorities. Working alongside our police officers, firefighters, emergency responders, and community partners, we have strengthened our commitment to keeping Delphi safe. During my administration, we established the Delphi Police Department’s first-ever K-9 program, adding K-9 Officer Remington (REMI) to provide another valuable resource in protecting our community and combating illegal narcotics.

I have also worked hard to remain accessible and engaged with our residents because I believe the best decisions are made by listening. Whether attending community events, supporting local organizations, partnering with our schools, working alongside volunteers, or meeting with citizens one-on-one, I have always believed serving as Mayor means being present and working together.

None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the dedication of our city employees, department heads, elected officials, community partners, volunteers, local businesses, and the countless citizens who care deeply about Delphi. I am sincerely grateful for your trust, support, and partnership.

While I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together, I believe our work is far from finished. There are still opportunities ahead to improve our infrastructure, strengthen public safety, encourage economic development, support our neighborhoods, and continue making Delphi a community where families are proud to live, businesses can thrive, and future generations can succeed.

I remain committed to leading with integrity, transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility. I will continue making decisions based on what is best for our community while treating every taxpayer dollar with the respect it deserves.

Delphi is more than the city I serve; it is my home. This community has given so much to me throughout my life, and serving as your Mayor has been one of the greatest honors I could ever receive.

I respectfully ask for your support and your vote as we continue moving Delphi forward together. I am excited about what lies ahead, and I would be honored to continue serving as your Mayor.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve this incredible community.
