David James Darling, Sr., age 85, of Crossville, TN passed away on September 8, 2026. He was born on January 6, 1941, in Kent, MI, to James Jonas and Ruth Louise Darling.
David will be remembered for his devotion to his family and friends and for his educational conversations of politics and history for which he loved a good debate. He also flew a crop duster airplane solo sometime before his 10th birthday. He loved playing acoustic guitar and was self taught at about 8 years old. David also enjoyed repairing and operating HAM radios as a hobby. He is survived by his daughter, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many friends, and was preceded in death by his son and stepdaughter and 1 grandchild.An interment service will be held October 28, 2026 at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort, IN. His family is grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time.
