BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces brief, overnight stoppages are planned on I-865 for beam setting on the Ford Road bridge in Boone County.
On or after Monday, October 5 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., 20-minute stoppages will occur on I-865 westbound around Ford Rd. The I-465 northbound ramp to I-865 westbound will be closed. Drivers should follow the official detour of I-465 eastbound, turn around at U.S. 421 (Michigan Road), and back onto I-465 westbound.
On or after Tuesday, October 6 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., 20-minute stoppages will occur on I-865 eastbound around Ford Rd. No ramp closures are planned for this night of beam setting.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
