He was born December 5, 1938, to John and Ruby (Gard) Bowerman. He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1958 and, on June 14, 1959, married Karen J. Campbell. Shortly thereafter, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. They later divorced in 1986. In 1993, he married Rebecca A. Carter, who preceded him in death.
Following his military service, Jack dedicated himself to serving both his community and his family. He proudly served as a firefighter with the Lafayette Fire Department while working for Lafayette Printing, where he spent 26 years before retiring in 1989. He was especially proud of his years of service with the Lafayette Fire Department and the lifelong friendships he made there.
Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, and traveling. Never one to sit still, he later joined Buddy’s Home Furnishings, where he worked until his second retirement in 2015. He took pride in hard work, helping others, and providing for his family throughout his life.
Surviving are his daughters, Lisa Davison (Terry) of Silver Springs, Florida, and Angela Bowerman (Jason Oller) of Summerfield, Florida; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
