Greater Lafayette Commerce’s annual Business Expo will return to the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, September 16, featuring 110 regional businesses and organizations, food trucks, giveaways and breakout sessions.
The Expo will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public. No registration is required to attend the main event.
Exhibitors will represent a wide range of industries, including health care, manufacturing, education, construction, technology and marketing, along with nonprofits and civic organizations. Many exhibitors will offer giveaways, promotional deals and live demonstrations throughout the day.
Food trucks will be available at the Fairgrounds for most of the day. Serrano’s Kitchen, Gordo’s Food Truck and Caressa’s Kitchen will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The event will also feature breakout sessions and presentations for entrepreneurs and business leaders.
At 1 p.m., a session on health insurance options for Greater Lafayette Commerce members will cover ChamberCare, the Advantage 1 Health Plan and Franciscan WorkingWell.
At 2:30 p.m., Mark Lowe, program chair of the Garatoni School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Ivy Tech Community College, will lead the workshop, “Stop Working Harder: Why Hustle Is Killing Your Business.” The session will focus on how constant hustle can contribute to burnout and ways businesses can address the issue.
Both breakout sessions are free and open to the public, but registration is required.
The Business Expo was first held in 1974 as a small business trade show and has grown into a major regional business event. The Expo focuses on helping local businesses connect, learn and grow.
