The Frankfort Hot Dog Festival offers two full days of family entertainment, live performances, competitions and activities throughout downtown Frankfort.
Festivalgoers can enjoy a packed schedule on Friday, July 24, featuring high-energy entertainment from morning through the evening. Popular attractions include Dinosaur Takeover Shows at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Chainsaw Carving Demonstrations at 11:30 a.m., 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and DockDogs Big Air competitions at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Friday evening will feature live music across downtown stages, including Heart 2 Heartbreakers at 6 p.m. on The Farmers Bank Performance Center Stage, Rick Knapp at 8 p.m. on the same stage, and Isaac Rudd at 8:30 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage.
Adding to Friday’s festivities, Cindy Loveless of Kaspar Media will broadcast live from the festival on WILO 96.9 FM and Boone 102.7 FM from 4 to 6 p.m. The live coverage will include interviews, festival updates and free giveaways sponsored by Homestead Resources.
Saturday, July 25, brings another full day of activities beginning in the morning with the COACH Kids Breakfast, the WeCare Color Bun Run, the COACH Kids Cornhole Tournament, and the opening of the Prairie Creek Park Splash Pad.
Throughout Saturday, visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions including Dinosaur Takeover Shows, Chainsaw Carving, Glass Blowing, the Dinosaur Museum & Mini Golf, DockDogs Big Air, the Doxie Derby Dachshund Races, Puppy Park Family Fun Zone, Prancing Ponies & Petting Zoo, and the Jurassic Park Motor Pool Experience.
The festival also offers special events for food lovers, including the “Let’s Sizzle & Roll” Hot Dog Trail, beginning at 11 a.m., and the Hot Dog Eating Contest at 5 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage.
Saturday’s entertainment lineup includes performances from:

- Frank Harness Karate at 3:15 p.m.
- Damon West at 6 p.m. on The Farmers Bank Performance Center Stage
- Sheltered Reality at 6:15 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage
- Austin French at 7:15 p.m. on The Farmers Bank Performance Center Stage
- Maybsomeday – Montana Best at 7:30 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage
- Colton Dixon at 8:30 p.m. on The Farmers Bank Performance Center Stage
- Big Rosco & The Hammers at 9 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage
Saturday evening will also include the DockDogs Big Air Finals, Bowser Bash Car & Truck Show Awards, WCWO Wrestling, and a fireworks finale.
With activities for all ages, live entertainment, food vendors and community traditions, organizers invite residents and visitors to bring their families, enjoy downtown Frankfort and experience one of the area’s biggest summer celebrations.
